ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP TREKKING:

Annapurna base camp trek that comprises of an 11 days package is the amalgamation of wonderful walk via diverse landscape, culture, complete mountain vistas, flabbergasting fields, quaint Gurung villages and a wide variety of flora and fauna. This trek serves a lethal combo of the cultural and natural sightseeing of famous city Nepal and high-altitude trekking in the famous Annapurna Region. After landing at Kathmandu valley, next early morning you fly Pokhara and trek will thus, begin.

Mt. Annapurna (8091m) of Nepal is the most popular as it is 10th highest mountain in the world and the journey to its base camp. We will have the proximity with Mt. Machhapuchchhre (Fishtail) where the local beauty and culture have been fully venerated with nature. Annapurna base camp trekking is a one of its kind experience for adventurers, beginners and experts alike. Annapurna Base Camp (4,140m/13,582ft) is a small campsite surrounded by mighty mountains from all side, Machhapuchchhre (6,993m/22,943), Annapurna I (8091m/26505ft), and Hiunchuli (6,441m/21,131ft), respectively.

There is no comparison of this trek with any sorts of trek in Nepal as it offers the most beautiful trekking experience easy walking with majestic scenery and a mix of cultures. The ethnic villages of Ghandruk (HQ of Annapurna) and Chomrong are the most intimidating village trekker’s encounter during the trek. The trek will embark from lowland pastures and cultivated fields. Rapidly you will be guided toward the deep forests of oak, bamboo and rhododendron. Eventually you will come across moraines and reach Annapurna Sanctuary. Along with the sublime beauty, you will see flabbergasting imagery of the serene surroundings with lofty views.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu TIA Airport
Day 02: Fly Pokhara . Transfer to Kyumi by private Jeep. Trek to Kyumi to Ghandruk (1940 m/ 2hrs).
Day 03: Trek Ghandrukto Chomrong (2170 m/5-6hrs)
Day 04: Trek to Bamboo (2310 m/ 5-6hrs).
Day 05: Trek to Deurali (3230 m/ 5-6hrs)
Day 06: Trek Machhapuchhare Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp 4130m
Day 07: Trek to Bamboo (2310 m/ 6-7hrs).
Day 08: Trek to GhinuDanda (1780m/ 5-6hrs).
Day 09: Trek Ghinu Dada to Siwai (1640 m/ 4-5hrs). Transfer to Pokhara
Day 10: Fly Kathmandu – Lunch at Ka:shi Cafe & diner at Nepali authentic restaurant
Day 11: Departure transfer

DETAIL PROGRAM:

DAY 01: ARRIVAL AT TRIBHUVAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (TIA) –KATHMANDU (1330 m)

Arrival: Flight
You will enter the immigration center and directly go to the visa immigration center by filling the form which is located in desk. Nepal visa is on arrival and you have to apply for 15 Days visa which will be USD 25. Please carry 2 passport size photos and a copy of your passport for quick service.

Mobile Sim Card, Ncell: It will be a better idea to take Sim card for easy contact and internet service. Please ask for Ncell Sim card which is easily available at the exit counter right side. You can request for Sim activation in mobile. Cost USD 01, “required passport copy and passport size photo”. You can use mobile data internet at some of the trekking destination too.

Our office representative will stand by with a Pla card, mentioned your name at the terminal hall. Give us one of your name to print.
After meeting and greetings, he/she will take you to the hotel on time.

Short Info about Kathmandu Valley: Extending over an area of 360 km square at an altitude of 1336 meters above sea level, Kathmandu is an exotic and fascinating showcase rich in culture, art and traditions. The capital, which is the seat political, commercial and cultural development spans 24 Kilometers from east to west and 19 kilometers from north to south is. It is surrounded by green hills terrace cultivation, enameled by rooftops red houses. She has many ethnic groups including the Newars which gives him its cultural specific. A legend says that the valley was once under water until the Bodhisattva Manuscript or planted his sword in the middle of the lake. Valley dried up and the first inhabitants settled.

Check in at hotel. Welcome drinks will be served and short briefing at hotel lobby or on your favorable time in evening.

Shopping: If you need any trekking gears then our guide will escort you to different shops. It is cheaper to buy at Thamel are for any kind of trekking gears. For hiring Sleeping bags, Sticks cost USD 0.5 or 01 approx.

DAY 02 : FLY POKHARA (827 m/ 2713 ft) AND TREK TO GHANDRUK (2010m /6600ft)

Early morning breakfast at hotel.
**Note: As per the tourism law porter is allowed to carry only 14 kg hence kindly request you to pack only necessary clothing and important belonging inside duffle bag. Rest of things you can leave at Hotel store safely.

Transfer to Tribhuvan Domestic Airport – 25 min. Fly Kathmandu to Pokhara. Domestic Flight: Buddha Air – U4 603 – Time: 08:30 Am / Flight Duration -25 Minutes.
**Note: Please note Nepal is Mountainous region and December is winter season, weather is unpredictable hence sometimes flight may delay and fly as per the weather condition. In case of any cancellation, we will transfer in private vehicle.
In this case we have to modify the itinerary trails however the days of trekking will be same.

Arrival at Pokhara followed by direct transfer to Kyumi by private AC Jeep (1640 m/ 3hrs) and start trek from Kyumi to Ghandruk (1940 m/ 2hrs). You will walk through magnificent stoned paved stairs, crossing the beautiful views of small streams, waterfalls and green hilly area, jungles and small villages.

Trekking time: It depends on your strength of walking, our guide will escort feasible way.
GHANDRUK: Ghandruk offers very close view of the Annapurna’s and the view during sunset and sunrise is fantastic. The village still preserves the traditional houses with stone roofs and the local village museum is worth exploring.
Lunch on the way to trek (best spot-tea house) .Dinner & stay overnight at Ghandruk.
** Note: Tea House – It is simple lodge with basic facilities / Common rest room /some place: they may charge for Hot Water and mobile charging.

DAY 03 : TREK TO CHOMRONG (2170 m/5-6hrs).

After breakfast, trek start from Ghandrukto Chomrong.
At this pace, we climb up for around an hour up to Kimrungdanda. On the way, we can cherish great views of Annapurna South-7219m, Hiunchuli 6,441m, Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchchhre) 6,993m and Ganggapurna 7455m. A steep descent takes us to the Kimrong Khola. After another steep ascent from Kimrong Khola to Chere Danda, we descend for a while and then it’s a gentle walk to Chomrong. Chomrong is a beautiful village located on the lap of the giant Annapurna massive.

DAY 04 : TREK TO BAMBOO (2310 m/ 5-6hrs)

After breakfast, trek to Bamboo from Chomrong.
We descend via 2500 stone steps and cross the bridge above Chomrong Khola. From here, it is an uphill climb to Sinuwa. Next, we pass through a beautiful forest to Kuldihar followed by an easy downhill walk to Bamboo.

Lunch on the way to Bamboo. Dinner & stay overnight at Bamboo.

DAY 05 : TREK TO DEURALI (3230 m/ 5-6hrs)

After breakfast, trek to Deurali
We pass through a bamboo forest which is damp and cold then ascend steadily with a few steep sections. It is only after reaching Himalaya Hotel that the forest opens up and we are out in the sun again with astounding views of the glacial river below. It is a steep climb up through a much drier forest before reaching Hinku Cave. From here we can see the trail drop closer to the river before climbing again to Deurali, the most scenic stretch of the day. The vegetation is sparser, allowing magical views of the valley, the river below, and the sheer rock-face cliffs above with bands of wispy waterfalls.

DAY 06 : TREK TO MACHHAPUCHHRE BASE CAMP AND ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP ABC (4130m/4-5 hrs)

After breakfast. Trek o Annapurna Base Camp ABC (4130m/4-5 hrs) via MBC (Machapuchare Base Camp) 3700 m.
We will walk gently through a river bed then over a steep trail over to the mountain side. The hike from Bagar to Machhapuchchhre Base Camp is somewhat strenuous. From Machhapuchchhre base camp -3700 m we get excellent views of the majestic Machhapuchchhre-Fishtail(6,993m/22,943), along with Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441m/21,131ft), Annapurna South -7219m, Annapurna I(8091m/26505ft),, Annapurna III 7555m, Gandharvachuli -6248m and Ganggapurna 7455m which is certainly a rewarding experience. The vegetation disappears on our way to ABC and the path widens as we enter the Annapurna sanctuary. From here, we get sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above us. The sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything impeding the 360-degree panorama. From the base camp we again get to savor mesmerizing views of the Machhapuchchhre, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other peaks.

Lunch at MBC and trek to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp). Dinner & stay overnight at ABC.

DAY 07 : TREK TO BAMBOO (2310 m/6-7hrs)

After breakfast. Again Trek To Bamboo
From the Annapurna base camp we retrace our steps to Bamboo. Today’s trek is downhill, so it shouldn’t be very difficult. Besides, we will always have the company of the extraordinary landscape to cheer us up.

Lunch on the way to Bamboo. Dinner & stay overnight at Bamboo.

DAY 08 : TREK TO GHINU DANDA (1780m/5-6 hrs)

After breakfast. Trek to GhinuDanda
From Bamboo, it is an uphill trek to Kuldihar followed by a downhill walk to Chomrong Khola. Then we climb the stone steps to Chomrong. The trail then descends to Jhinu Danda, where we will be resting for the night. Today we will have an opportunity to enjoy the hot springs which is just a 15-20 minute downhill walk from Jhinu Danda to soothe our aching body.

Lunch on the way to GhinuDanda. Visit Hot Spring. Dinner & stay overnight at Ghinu Dada.

DAY 09 : TREK TO SIWAI (1640 m/4-5 hrs)

Breakfast at hotel
After breakfast. Trek Start from Ghinu Dada to Siwai (1640 m/ 4-5hrs) and transfer Private AC Jeep from Siwai to Pokhara (3hrs). Lunch on the way to Siwai. Check-in Hotel at Pokhara
Pokhara: Pokhara is one of the most beautify city with lake and magnificent view of Annapurna ranges. Tourist destination, most happening place where you can enjoy boating, shopping, enjoy live music. “Visit famous Busy Bee bars and other famous restaurant nearby.
Stay overnight at Hotel.

DAY 10 : FLY POKHARA – KATHMANDU – SHOPPING DAY

Breakfast at hotel
After breakfast, transfer to airport for fly back to Kathmandu land
(U4 604 flight times 09:30 am/flight duration 25 minutes).
**Note: Please note December is winter season, weather is unpredictable hence sometime flight may delay and fly as per the weather condition.
Check-in Hotel. Free time shopping at Thamel.
Lunch: Special lunch at Ka: shi Café, Lounge & Bar – Kirtipur also short sightseeing
Evening: Transfer to Nepali restaurant. .Farewell dinner at Nepali authentic restaurant with cultural dance show

DAY 11 : DEPARTURE TRANSFER TO AIRPORT

TREKKING TYPE: MODERATE TREKKING: SOME IMPORTANT NOTES:

It is the best package for beginners who would like to explore the Himalayas on foot. This Trekking will be slow walk, resting in different beautiful spots, the trails will be a stone stairs as well as small narrow and snow paths through different jungle area, moist muddy area. You should be very careful while walking in trails, there will be small pebbles, stones hence need to step carefully, and your slightest mistake can result into huge problem in case you hurt your legs. Nevertheless, you need not worry as our guide is always there to assist you in difficult situations. During December there might be snow hence you need good trekking shoes which is not slippery and water proof.

We’d like to suggest you to start small jogging in your area which will help you a lot to warm up and prior starting this trek your legs should fit and fine for normal walk. The temperature will be very low minus 0 degree at night, windy and day time high sun lights hence you need both warm clothes, wind proof jackets, pants woolen caps, soft summer cloths, sunglasses, suns cream, gloves etc. No worries, you can buy very cheap near your hotel area which call Thamel.

As soon as you walk on high altitude the oxygen level will be low. Hence, sometimes you might have headaches, vomit and nausea. If you really feel uncomfortable our guide will give you a medicine e.g. Diamox which will help you to reduce you headache.

You should walk slowly as per the guidance of our guide. One should drink plenty of water and garlic soups, specially recommend to have local foods like Dal, Vat Tarkari also known as famous Thakali Set (combination of Lintel, with rice and fresh vegetables & pickles) which will help you to acclimatize and highly energetic to boost your energy. The tea house also serves many Chinese items like Noodles and many more. Drinking alcohol can be cause of high altitude sickness, hence, please don’t take any alcohol during trekking. Avoid dairy items, meat which might cause you diarrhoea.

Touchwood, if in case of any serious illness or accident we will evacuate by helicopter from the spot. Please note health insurance is necessary which will help you to cover all your rescue and hospitalize costs.

This is an adventurous trip so you need to prepare from all sides. You will walk higher from sea levels to the world’s highest mountain zone.  Being confident enough inside as well as gaining natural energy which will encourage you to come again and again.
