EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK 14 DAYS
DAY 01: ARRIVAL AT TIA. BRIEFING AT HOTEL:
Arrival at TIA “Tribhuvan International Airport” Greeting
You will enter the immigration center and directly go to the visa immigration center by filling the form which is located at the desk. Nepal visa is on arrival and you have to apply for 15 Days visa which will be USD 25. Please carry 2 passport size photos and a copy of your passport for quick service.
Mobile Sim Card, Ncell: It will be a good idea to take Sim card for easy contact and internet service. Please ask for Ncell Sim card which is easily available at the exit counter right side. You can request for Sim activation in mobile. Cost USD 01, along with a photocopy of passport and passport size photo”. You can use mobile data internet at some of the trekking destinations too.
** Note: Internet is available in most of the Everest Region Tea House. It will cost around US$ 2 to 3 per excess. However, if you have Sim card then you can use Sim date to send a quick message to your friends and family which will be chipper.

Short Info about Kathmandu Valley: Traditionally known as “Kashthamandap”, Kathmandu valley, extends over an area of 360 km square at an altitude of 1336 meters above sea level, Kathmandu is an exotic and fascinating showcase rich in culture, art, and traditions. The capital, which is the seat political, commercial and cultural development spans 24 Kilometers from east to west and 19 kilometers from north to south is. It is surrounded by green hills terrace cultivation, enameled by rooftops red houses. She has many ethnic groups including the Newars, Brahmins, Chhteris and so on. A legend says that the valley was once under water until the Bodhisattva Manuscript planted his sword in the middle of the lake. Valley dried up and the first inhabitants settled.

DAY 02: FLY TENZING HILLARY AIRPORT – LUKLA 2845 M [35 MIN]. TREK TO PHAKDING 2610 M – WALK 03/04 HOURS:

Trek to Phakding 2610 m – Walk 03/04 Hours
Off to PHAKDING 2610 m: You will walk through the busy Lukla bazaar, Thalsharoa Kosi 2678 m Kusum Kangru Khola. Gently climb up the hilly trail which led to Kusum Kangru 6367m valley. After a mile crosses the famous Himalayan River, Dudh Koshi suspension bridge for small Sherpa village Ghan 2590 m.
After crossing the final trail through Nurning 2592 m, Chuthawa 2591m, you will reach famous area Phakding.

DAY 03: TREK TO NAMCHE BAZZAR 3440 METERS –WALK 06/07 HOURS:
Start walking through the pine forest along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several small and long iron suspensions bridges. It is a quite busy trail since Namche Bazar is the main hub. As you move along, you will encounter a heard of local horses, yaks. You will cross the Sherpa villages of Benkar 2630m, Chumowa 2760m then Monjo 2835, Jorsale Thumbug: a check point and entrance gate of Sagarmatha National Park.
There is a magnificent view of Thamserku 6616m and continue along the riverbed through the Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi Rivers. It then hikes steadily, crossing the famous Tenzing- Hilary suspension bridge. After walking and highest point you will see the spectacular view of Everest and Nuptse – Lhotse ridge.
The beautiful Namche Valley is just beneath, walk slowly down to the destination of the day.

DAY 04: ACCLIMATIZING DAY AT NAMCHE BAZAAR 3440 METERS:
Note: You can rest at your tea house or if you are good enough and healthy then can visit the local markets or different museums, monasteries and special local markets. One can also visit Khunde Hospital set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary, or take a one hour walk up to the Everest View Hotel above Namche for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest.
You can visit National Park Centre and Museum just above the town for spectacle view of Mountains.

DAY 05: TREK TO TENGBOCHE 3867 METERS – WALK 05/06 HOURS:
Trek Start: The trail climbs up from the town and then contours around the hillside, offering great views including Everest and Khumjung. Look out for spotted deer, Himalayan tahrs and birds – including the colorful (male) Danphe pheasant (Nepal’s national bird). The trail rises to Sanasa where the routes to Gokyo and Everest BC fork.
Follow the right side trail then descends to cross the Dudh Koshi (past water driven prayer wheels) on a suspension bridge near Phungi Thenga (3,250m) the lowest point north of Namche Bazaar.
Continue journey through Imja Khola Valley and rises steeply, through dwarf conifers and rhododendron forest, for a two- hour pull, to the hilltop village of Tengboche. Their famous Tengboche Monastery is set against the backdrop of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Everest, Kangtega and other peaks. At full moon in October/November, the colorful Mani Rimdu festival is held which includes masked dancing and Tibetan Opera in the monastery courtyard. Visit the monastery during the afternoon.

DAY 06: TREK TO DINGBOCHE 4413 METERS –WALK 05/06 HOURS:
Trek Start: Today, the trail drops to Debouche, a scattered stone village with a nunnery, long mani wall, and Chortens. You will cross another exciting suspension bridge over the Imja Khola and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of Mani stones.
Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam 6856m perhaps the most beautiful mountain in the Everest region. We take our time so we avoid getting affected by the altitude.
The trail continues the Lobuche Khola and continues up to the Dingboche. The village gives a view of Ama Dablam, fields of barley, buckwheat, and potatoes. The villagers walled it to protect grains from cold winds and grazing animals during the short growing season.
An Acclimatizing day at Dingboche 4413 meters
DAY 07: REST DAY AT DINGBOCHE:
You can explore the village which is beautiful with an array of fields enclosed by stone walls to protect barley, buckwheat and potatoes from the cold wind and grazing animals. We spend a day at Dingboche for acclimatization or take day hike to either Nagarjun Hill or Chukkhung Valley for great views of Makalu, Lhotse, Chalote, Tawache and Ama Dablam.
DAY 08: TREK TO LOBUCHE 4930 METERS –WALK 06/07 HOURS:
Trek Start: Start your trek passing the Dusa 4503 to Thokla Dughla 4620m. Continue up the wide valley beneath the magnificent peaks of Cholatse & Tawache on the left, slowly ascend towards the foot of the Khumbu Glacier which flows from Everest.
Dughla is perfect for having lunch. The Trail zigzags up through the boulders of glaciers terminal moraine. You will see memorial stone cairns of Sherpas who died on their way to ascending Mt. Everest. Walk smoothly since the alleviation increases as you go higher nearer 5000m along the glacier. After an hour of walk, finally, you will reach Lobuche.

DAY 09: TREK TO KALA PATTAR 5580 METERS – GORAKSHEP 5140 METERS WALK -04/05 HOURS:
Trek Start: Trek to Kala Patthar – 2/ 3 Hrs
Today, a rewarding day. Continue the day by ascending the rocky path passing the Italian Solar Pyramid Project for weather and other scientific research of Mountains. Follow the active glacier which often changes its path and an hours of walk you will first glimpse of Mt. Pumori 7,145m, later First Everest (8,848m/29,028ft), then its surrounding vassals:Pumori(7,145m/23,443ft),Lingtren(6,697m/21,973ft),Khumbutse(6,623m/21,730ft),Changtse (7,550m/24,772ft), Lhotse (8,516m/27,941ft) and Nuptse (7,861m/25,792ft). Plus Cho Oyo (8,201m/26,907ft) in the west and Ama Dablam to the south; amidst countless other peaks that crowd the horizon in all directions from Kala Pattar 5580m.
After an hour of descending you will reach Gorak Shep 5160m.

DAY 10: TREK TO EVEREST BASE CAMP 5364 METERS – LOBUCHE 4930 METERS 05/06 HOURS:
Trek Start: Trek to main destination Everest Base Camp
Gently decent straight ahead to Everest Base Camp, a historical place for Mountaineers where expedition starts for Mt Everest 8848m. This is the area where thousands of trekkers and mountaineers still gather, some fail, some succeed, some never back. Usually, the expedition begins in August, September, October, Mid-March, and April to early May.
The area is highly prone to altitude sickness. Hence one should be more careful while walking, a smooth walk is the best. Recently the earthquake has also affected the trails hence it might be little difficult however when you reach the area you will be mesmerizing to see the view of Khumbu icefall, a moving gigantic glacier, the first wild gate for an expedition.
After spending an hour, we will trek back to Lobuche
till Pheriche by following the previous route.

DAY 11: TREK TO NAMCHE BAZZAR 3440M –WALK 07/08 HOURS:
Trek Start: Trek down to Phunki Thanga than up to the Namche Bazaar. It is a long walk and leg stretch since while down your whole body forced in the foot and rough on knees. However, you will feel better to come down from high altitude.

DAY 12: TREK TO LUKLA 2840 METERS WALK -05/07 HOURS:
Trek Start: Trek down to the Lukla passing through the previous area like Phakding, Monjo, Chablung and finally at Lukla. Rest and overnight at Lukla

Early morning flight for Kathmandu

TREKKING TYPE: MODERATE TREKKING: SOME IMPORTANT
It is the best package for beginners who would like to explore the Himalayas on foot. This Trekking will be a slow walk, resting in different beautiful spots, the trails will be stone stairs as well as small narrow and snow paths through different jungle area, moist muddy area. You should be very careful while walking in trails, there will be small pebbles, stones hence need to step carefully, and your slightest mistake can result into a huge problem in case you hurt your legs. Nevertheless, you need to worry as our guide is always there to assist you in difficult situations. During December there might be snow hence you need good trekking shoes which is not slippery and waterproof.
We’d like to suggest you start small jogging in your area which will help you a lot to warm up and prior starting this trek your legs should fit and fine for a normal walk. The temperature will be very low minus 0 degrees at night, windy and daytime high sun lights hence you need both warm clothes, windproof jackets, pants woolen caps, soft summer clothes, sunglasses, suns cream, gloves etc. No worries, you can buy very cheap near your hotel area which call Thamel.
As soon as you walk on the high altitude the oxygen level will be low. Hence, sometimes you might have headaches, vomit, and nausea. If you really feel uncomfortable our guide will give you a medicine e.g. Diamox which will help you to reduce you a headache.
You should walk slowly as per the guidance of our guide. One should drink plenty of water and garlic soups, especially recommend to have local foods like Dal, Vat Tarkari also known as famous Thakali Set (combination of Lintel, with rice and fresh vegetables & pickles) which will help you to acclimatize and highly energetic to boost your energy. The tea house also serves many Chinese items like Noodles and many more. Drinking alcohol can be a cause of high altitude sickness, hence, please don’t take any alcohol during trekking. Avoid dairy items, meat which might cause you diarrhea.
Touchwood, if in case of any serious illness or accident we will evacuate by helicopter from the spot. Please note health insurance is necessary which will help you to cover all your rescue and hospitalize costs.
This is an adventurous trip so you need to prepare from all sides. You will walk higher from sea levels to the world’s highest mountain zone. Being confident enough inside as well as gaining natural energy which will encourage you to come again and again. We will be always there to support you in each step and make it a successful journey.
